DevAudit is a web developer tools extension that puts a full site audit toolkit on every page you visit. Instead of jumping between separate SEO checker tabs, browser DevTools panels, and third-party page speed apps, you get SEO scoring, performance metrics, design inspection, screenshots, and annotations in one draggable toolbar that stays out of your way until you need it.

SEO Audit – DevAudit scores your page from 0 to 100 across five categories: meta tags, content structure, technical signals, social sharing, and performance. Checks include title tag, meta description, canonical URL, robots directives, viewport, charset, H1, heading hierarchy, image alt text, Open Graph, Twitter Card, JSON-LD structured data, HTTPS, lang attribute, and well-known files such as robots.txt, sitemap.xml, security.txt, llms.txt, and ads.txt. Export results as JSON or copy a Markdown report.

Core Web Vitals – Performance is measured on the live page, not in a lab simulation. DevAudit tracks LCP, CLS, and INP along with TTFB, so you see how real users experience load and interactivity. The page weight breakdown splits total size across JavaScript, CSS, images, and fonts.

Inspection Tools – The Meta Checker lets you inspect every meta tag inline. The Headings panel builds a visual H1–H6 outline. The Links panel counts internal and external links. The Images panel lists missing alt text. Element Inspector highlights any hovered element with its CSS selector and dimensions. CSS Outline draws a box model on every element. Font Inspector identifies fonts on the hovered element. The Dimension tool measures in px or rem.

Color Picker – Uses the native EyeDropper API with a hover fallback. Keeps a color history palette so you can reuse swatches across a session.

Screenshots & Annotations – Take a full-page capture or draw a rectangle selection, add notes, then copy or save. Annotations let you place sticky pins directly on the page tagged as Bug, Feature, Idea, Review, or Note – with inline editing and grouped history accessible from both toolbar and popup.

History & Export – All audits, screenshots, colors, and annotations are saved locally and accessible from the popup or on-page toolbar. Export audit results as JSON or copy a full Markdown report to share with teammates.
